Our Christmas term was brought to a very fitting close with almost 100 pupils participating as readers, actors, singers, instrumentalists and choir members in the school’s Annual Carol Service.
Rev J Nelson led the service and warmly welcomed the pupils, parents, friends and many visitors to First Omagh Presbyterian Church which was filled to capacity.
The Omagh High School choir, accompanied by Miss Smyth on piano, sang at the Carol Service. Wonderful singing performances included a trio by Jessica Cuthbertson, Charlotte Rennie and Claire Spratt, a duet by Kerry Rankin and Lucy Thompson and a fantastic solo rendition of O Holy Night by Rachael Bleasdale, Year 12.
A closing message was brought by Rev J Nelson, which reminded the congregation of the hope of the gospel and their need of a personal relationship with the One who created time itself.
A word of thanks must be extended to the members of First Omagh Presbyterian for the use of their church for rehearsals and the Carol Service, to Rev J Nelson for the closing message, to the many visitors who took time to attend the service and for the generous offering given.
