Our Open Night for prospective Year 8 pupils was held on Wednesday 25 January 2017 and we were once again thrilled with the fabulous turnout and enthusiasm of all involved throughout the evening.
The evening began with a Learning Support presentation in the Library conducted by SENCo Mrs Quigley, ably assisted by the classroom assistants. The pupils and their parents were then addressed by the Principal and two current Year 8 pupils, Lucy Jobb and Lewis Loughlin who spoke of their time in Omagh High School so far and of all the things they enjoy taking part in.
Parents and prospective pupils were then treated to a tour of the school where they got to appreciate the wide range of both curricular and extra-curricular activities on offer. Musical entertainment was provided by the talented choir, the Ulster Scots piping and drumming group, the Guitar Club and various instrumental groups from the Music Department.
The evening ended with refreshments in the Dining Hall provided by the canteen staff and served by the Friends of Omagh High School.
Many thanks to everyone for their support and assistance in making the evening such a success. We were delighted with the very positive feedback received by many both during and after the evening.
