Aims
Music is an important part of school life at Omagh High School. We aim to engage and inspire all pupils to develop their musical ability and love of the subject through practical, engaging activities both in and out of the classroom.
Key Stage 3
Music at KS3 gives pupils the opportunity to explore a variety of musical skills in a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment. Each pupil is given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of music through listening, composing and performing activities. Pupils will explore a number of topics at KS3 including; ‘Instruments of the Orchestra’, ‘Film Music’, and ‘Popular Music’. Pupils have access to a great range of musical resources including a class set of keyboards, Djembe drums, classroom percussion and an electronic drum kit.
