Match Report
Our senior girl’s hockey team competed in a league fixture against Omagh Academy. The first half began, and the girls did not hold back. Many good runs were made by our mid fielders and forwards bringing the ball up into the Academy’s quarter, especially by Lucy Hawkes and Sarah Rennie. Our goalkeeper, Annabelle McLauren, saved many good attempts of scores by the Academy girls and with our strong defence, got the ball away from the net’s multiple times. Unfortunately for our girls, second half was not in our favour, Academy girls came back strikingly and scored 4 goals against us. That being said, our girls made their best efforts and got close to scoring numerous times, however their goalkeeper and defensive line was very strong. The overall score was 4-0 to the Academy girls and it was an exciting game to watch, well done to both teams who took part!
