49 pupils plus 4 staff departed Omagh High School at 4.30am on Thursday 19th September 2019 for the Euorpa League Match between Manchester United and Astana from Kazakhstan.
Beautiful weather conditions ensured a very smooth sailing from Dublin to Holyhead North Wales, and onwards to Manchester. First stop was visiting the Trafford Shopping Centre for some retail therapy. With shopping bags full and wallets/purses empty, we made our way to Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United. Pupils and staff spent time looking around the stadium, visited the Mega store and took many photographs.
We then took our match day seats in the North stand and settled down to watch Manchester United defeat Astana by 1-0. After the game we made our way back towards Holyhead and stopped off on the way for a bite to eat in Chester. We boarded the ferry and sailed back to Dublin and arrived back in Omagh at 8.30am on Friday morning.
A very enjoyable trip was had by all.
