Last week in the maths department we celebrated Maths Week Ireland.
This year the theme was ‘Maths for All’. Our focus was to promote positive attitudes towards maths and highlight the importance of maths in our lives.
Year 8 took part in a Maths Trail collecting data around the school.
Year 9 used their maths skills to create the highest tower using marshmallow and spaghetti.
Year 10 enjoyed a practical group work task creating squares having previously studied sequences.
