Senior Girls v ERGS 1 – 3
Omagh started the game brightly putting ERGS under pressure from the off. Mid-field of Jayne, Lucy and Sarah McC worked hard throughout the match both in defence and in attack. Omagh scored first through Lillie after a good period of passing play up the centre and left.
Omagh’s defence of Kirstie, Beth, Connie and captain Poppy, stood strong until the end of the first half.
In the second half ERSG scored 2 quick goals much against the run of play. Goalkeeper Annabel did an excellent job in nets.
Chloe, Grace and Sarah R were constant threats going forward, with Molly and Erin also playing well. Unfortunately further Omagh goals could not be found and the game ended 1-3.
Lots of progress is being made and the team is starting to gel. A great bunch of hockey players!
Next match – tomorrow away to Castlederg HS.
