On Friday, we came together as a school to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, organised by our amazing Year 11 team, with Katie C taking charge. Students and staff were encouraged to rock their "Funky Socks" to show their support (pictures and winners to follow).
Our Year 11 Kings Trust class played a big part in this event. They helped to organise a raffle, made pins and bracelets to sell, and hosted a Year 8 colouring competition to help spread awareness about Down Syndrome for our pupils. All the money raised will go to Omagh Spires Special Olympics Club.
The celebration didn't stop there! We wrapped up the day with a Bocce competition, a quiz and a lovely tea party.
Our canteen also joined in the fun with some delicious themed treats, which Katie C had a blast helping to decorate.
It was a whole school effort and we're proud of the support shown by all.
